One Day Wonder #148

For 3 horns, 1 trombone and tuba.

I was working again today, so I kept things simple. What you get is a nice horn-heavy chorale with a trombone lead. A few interesting harmonic things happen in this, but for the most part, it’s pretty basic. If anything, it proves that I can write a pretty good piece in between phone calls and other duties. It makes me pretty happy to know that I can write under less-than ideal circumstances. Sure, I wrote a lot of Mackris v. O’Reilly at work (also answering phones), but that job is gone now. This one is temporary and it has a few constraints that interfere with the process of getting music down on paper. Still, I’m pretty pleased with this effort.
