One Day Wonder #158

For 2 horns, 2 trumpets, 1 trombone and tuba.

You know, I was a little alarmed at the ordinariness of #157, so I wanted to dash off something a little more contemporary sounding. This is it. Sure, it’s still tonal and the time signature (2/4) never changes, but I’m able to mix things up with accents and assorted rhythmic weirdness. At first, this piece seemed completely devoid of charm to me, but it has grown on me since. I’m fairly confident that a non-robotic ensemble will make this sound absolutely dynamite. Well, sure, a live performance would be nice, but this robo-track will have to do for the foreseeable future.
