One Day Wonder #153

For 2 horns, 2 trumpets, 1 trombone and tuba.

I was hoping to revive the principle of #12, but very early on in the piece, I realized that it wasn’t going to happen, so I just wrote a regular piece instead. I wanted to have the 5/8 time signature move along at a fast enough clip so that it wouldn't sound jerky. Well, that didn’t work out so well. But no matter. I’m not exactly happy with how it turned out, as there are some very thin spots in it that I couldn’t beef up without obscuring the melodic line. I can live with that and I can live with the whole piece. It’s not great, but it’ll do.
